CANTON ‒ A 40-year-old city resident was shot in her thigh early Saturday at the All Day Cafe, 1836 Maple Ave. NE.

Police charged a 29-year-old Warren man with firing a firearm on or near prohibited premises, having weapons under disability and two counts of felonious assault.

The second felonious assault charge alleges the suspect fired a gun at a 28-year-old Plain Township man.

The defendant is barred from using firearms because of aggravated robbery and kidnapping convictions from a 2013 Stark County case.

The shooting at the bar was reported at 1:59 a.m.
