Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Western allies for the latest military aid worth billions of dollars.

The $50 billion loan from Group of Seven (G7) leading Western industrialized nations will help Ukraine in its defence and resilience, he said in his evening video message, broadcast from Kiev.

Zelensky delivered the address wearing a T-shirt that read “make Russia small again.”

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova posted a photo of it on Telegram and called Zelensky a “complete idiot.”

Zelensky said the aid must be paid this year to help Ukraine as it seeks to fend off Russian attacks, in a war that began nearly 1,000 days ago.
