Republicans are fighting to keep their majority in the U.S. House after sweeping the Senate, which could give President-elect Donald Trump unified power in the White House. Control for majority remains in the balance, with many races still too close to call as the ballots roll in. Much of the focus is on California where Democrats are aiming to flip five seats crucial to winning back the House. Incumbent Republicans are currently holding onto their seats but often by less than a percentage point. The Democrats are hoping to flip the House as last line of defense against the Trump administration.
