The source added: “We’re always pitting women against women. In this case, it’s just not the truth.”
Garner’s three children with Affleck (Violent, 19, Fin, 16, and Samuel, 13) were step-siblings with Lopez’s kids (twins Max and Emme, 17, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony) during Affleck and Lopez’s two-year marriage, which lasted from July 2022 to August 2024. The 13 Going on 30 star, for her part, married Affleck in 2005 before splitting 10 years later. They finalized their divorce in 2018.

The news of Lopez and Garner’s copacetic relationship comes one week after Affleck and Garner, both 52, were spotted together at a paintball park in Los Angeles with son Samuel. While the exes often come together in support of their children, their March 2 outing made headlines due to photos of the Argo star holding his ex-wife while playing paintball.
In July 2024 — amid Lopez and Affleck’s divorce — a source told Us Weekly that the “Let’s Get Loud” artist, 55, and Garner have “been really friendly,” calling Garner, in particular, an “unexpected ally” to Lopez.
“She’s been helpful to J.Lo, and they’ve been relating to each other,” the insider shared at the time. “Jennifer has been a surprising person for J.Lo to talk to.”
